Grand Canyon Bahá'í Conference

No Conference This Year

No Grand Canyon Bahá'í Conference in 2023

Beloved Friends,

The Spiritual Assembly of Phoenix appreciates the interest of the friends who have reached out to inquire about the Grand Canyon Bahá’í Conference.

When the Worldwide Conferences were called for by the Universal House of Justice in its letter dated September 15, 2021, it became evident that there was a need to evaluate the Grand Canyon Bahá'í Conference in light of the new model for conferences, the Nine Year Plan and other guidance received by the Assembly. The National Office of Assembly Development assisted the Phoenix Spiritual Assembly to look into some relevant questions to analyze the conference in light of the goals of the Phoenix Spiritual Assembly and the needs of our community. The results were compiled and sent to the National Spiritual Assembly, the Four Corners Regional Bahá'í Council, and our Auxiliary Board members, asking for an opportunity to consult with them before making decisions for 2023. Those consultations are still in process and at this time there is not enough time to plan the conference for 2023, therefore, the decision has been made not to hold a Grand Canyon Bahá'í Conference this year. The Assembly will be consulting with the Four Corners Regional Council and the Auxiliary Board members to determine the future of the conference. Thank you for your patience.

With warm regards,

The Local Spiritual Assembly of Phoenix.
